Foreword. Hugh Trevor-Roper. This is the seventh volume in a series which seeks to illustrate as well as to describe the history of civilization, and by its illustrations not merely to enliven but to deepen the study and understanding of that history. History, we would now generally agree, is multi-dimensional. \V'e no longer see it as political history only, as the register of mere political action: legislation, institutions, war. Of course it is still-it always must be-the record of man: but it is the record of man in society, not merely in politics; and society conditions, or is conditioned by, a whole range of nonpolitical activities, from the apparently impersonal forces of geography or economics to the individual achievements of science and art. This widened range of history cannot, without insufferable congestion, be expressed through one medium only. In this series we seek to express it, or at least to adumbrate it, in several. Faced by the vast expansion of our field, we have called in the new world of photographic reproduction, which informs through the eyes, to redress the imbalance of the old purely literary method, channelled exclusively through the mind. This is not to claim any outrageously novel interpretation. In the past generation many novel historical theories have been advanced, and novel methods of teaching it have been recommended. But when these new ideas have been digested or rejected, the old truths remain. History may have become multi-dimensional, but politics cannot be altogether excluded from it. Politics give it its form and direction. History without politics is history without its essential mechanism. Even purely social history is conditioned by politics. How can we understand the development of society if we ignore the pressure of legal institutions, the political framework of trade, or the impact of war? G. M. Trevelyan's statement that social history is history with the politics left out is a dangerous half-truth. ...
Morris Charles - Aryan sun-myths The origin of religionsurn:md5:b0f56687dcdf3c29d0ba28d84c012d182017-06-19T15:28:00+01:002018-04-14T20:01:49+01:00balderMorris CharlesAsiaB nai B rithChristianityCommunismConspiracyEuropeFreemasonryJewMythologyReligion

The attention of the writer having been called to the fact that all Indo-Germanic nations have worshipped crucified Saviours, an investigation of the subject was made. Overwhelming proof was obtained that the sun-myths of the ancient Aryans were the origin of the religions in all of the countries which were peopled by the Aryans. The Saviours worshipped in these lands are personifications of the Sun, the chief god of the Aryans. That Pagan nations worshipped a crucified man, was admitted by the Fathers of the early Christian Church. The holy Father Minucius Felix, in his Octavius, written as late as A. D. 211, indignantly resents the supposition that the sign of the cross should be considered as exclusively a Christian symbol ; and represents his advocate of the Christian argument as retorting on an infidel opponent thus : "As for the adoration of crosses, which you object to against us, I must tell you that we neither adore crosses nor desire them. ...
Evans-Wentz Walter Yeeling - Tibetan Yoga and secret doctrinesurn:md5:1dd2721396b10f97f9e46bb9966844ab2017-04-17T18:55:00+01:002017-04-17T17:56:17+01:00balderEvans-Wentz Walter YeelingAmericaAsiaC.F.R.ConspiracyUnited StatesYoga

Seven authentic Tibetan yoga texts, almost unknown to the occidental world until their first publication in English in 1935, are now available in this Galaxy Book edition. A companion to the unique Tibetan Book of the Dead (GB 39), which the late Dr. Evans-Wentz also edited, this volume, illustrated with photographs and reproductions of yoga paintings and manuscripts, contains some of the principal meditations used by illustrious Hindu and Tibetan gurus and philosophers through the ages in attaining Right Knowledge and Enlightenment. The editor, whose inquiry and research extended through more .than fifteen years in the Orient, spent much time as a pupil of Hindu sages and Buddhist lamas. He has included a body of orally transmitted tradition and teachings received at first hand. These will be of particular interest to anthropologists and psychologists, and to students of comparative religion and practically applied Mahayana Yoga. Special commentaries precede each carefully rendered text, and a comprehensive preface contrasts the tenets of Buddhism with European concepts of religion, philosophy, and science. Yoga, the tap root of Hinduism, Jainism, Zen Buddhism, and Taoism, has also influenced the development of Judaism, Islam and Christianity. These seven distinct but intimately related books, arranged in orderly sequence, afford a comprehensive view of the spiritual teachings which have shaped the culture of the Orient, and which are now increasingly enriching the West's appreciation of the depths of the human psyche. The late W. Y. Evans-Wentz, formerly of Jesus College, Oxford, is also the editor of The Tibetan Book of the Dead (GB 39), The Tibetan Book of the Great Liberation (GB 260), and Tibet's Great Yogi, Milarepa (GB 294). His substantial tetralogy of works on yoga, based on translations from the Tibetan, offers an "interpretation from within" rarely found in the works of Western scholars. During the early years of this century Dr. Evans-Wentz lived in India and in Sikkim, at the invitation at the Maharaja Sidkyong Tulku, where he studied occult doctrines intensively. ...
Piggott Stuart - The dawn of civilizationurn:md5:33bd2816698163564fe3fa9f060e5d8a2017-01-29T15:27:00+00:002017-02-06T02:41:23+00:00balderPiggott StuartAmericaArchéologieAsiaCeltesChinaCivilizationsEgyptEnglandEnglandEuropeGermanyGreeceIndiaIraqMexicoPérouReligionScandinaviaSecond World WarSouth AmericaWestern Civilization series

Foreword. Almost exactly three years ago the initial scheme for The Dawn of Civilization saw its first light - not unsuitably - amongst the stones of Stonehenge. Now as the project reaches its final stages, these lines are being written in the shadow of London's British Museum. This chance link between the library shelves and showcases of Bloomsbury and the grey sarsens of Salisbury Plain is in a way emblematic of the aims of this book-to bring together not only the visible remains of man's past achievements but the less impressive though no less important minutiae of the scholar, the pot-sherds, plans, and sections which are the archaeologist's basic tools no less than his trowel. The Dawn of Civilization has been from the start a co-operative venture; nor could' it have been otherwise. In the first place, the editing of such a complex volume has been made possible only by the nnremitting work of Mr J. V. S. Megaw, who has acted throughout as my Assistant Editor. He has nndertaken innumerable tasks of research; liaison and co-ordination, and above all has made himself mainly responsible, in co-operation with the authors, for the illustrations which we feel form so essential and notable a part of the work. Here, with infinite patience and the eyes of an expert, Mrs Eva Neurath has made us steer a strict course between the archaeologically necessary and the artistically valuable. In a subject where the expert all too often seems to be one who learns more and more about less and less it has been our good fortnne to work with authors, all scholars in their own right, but whose interests also embrace fields outside their own. As a result each separate chapter though designed as an entity contributes to the general underlying theme of man's development as a social animal. The cooperation of the authors has gone far beyond the arduous preparation of texts; their advice-and criticism-has been invaluable in the collection and preparation of illustrations and material for the rnnning captions for the half-tone sections which have been the responsibility of the publishers. These last have been prepared as a parallel commentary to the main texts, to describe in words the points made by the pictorial matter; if the captions succeed in this aim the Editor at least will be gratified. With regard to the texts in general, Mr Max Parrish has been a tower of strength, as helpful as he has been selfeffacing. One note of warning; in three years much work has been done on old material and much new fonnd and thus it must be remembered that time and not always carelessness is responsible for some omissions and inaccuracies which may present themselves to the discerning reader. As we go to press Hactlar has revealed new splendours and Knossos added more problems to those of past seasons, while in Africa the dawn of man himself is receding ever further. The illustrations have presented a major task solved not only by the travels of photographers (whose commissions in one case led by Land-Rover from Athens to Karachi) and architects preparing reconstructions sometimes on the very sites concerned, but also through the kindness of those many government departments, institutions, and individuals mentioned by name in the List and Sources of Illustrations. Over and above these it would only be courtesy to single out for their ready assistance in affording special photographic facilities the Directors of the Government Archaeological Services of Cyprus, Greece, Iran, Iraq, the Lebanon, Pakistan, and Turkey. The Chinese People's Association for Cultural Relations with Foreign Conntries, the Griffith Institute, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, the Society for Cultural Relations with the U.S.S.R., and the Trade Delegation of the U. S. S. R. in the U.K. have been agents in obtaining some unique source material. Mr Megaw feels that on countless occasions he may have tried, but not it is hoped exhausted, the patience of many friends and colleagues. In this connection he is particularly grateful to the following members of the staff of the British Museum: Dr R. D. Barnett, Mr J. W.Brailsford, Mr Adrian Digby, Mr R.A.Higgins, Mr T. G. H. James, and Dr D. J. Wiseman. Learned libraries have also rendered sterling service, chief amongst them being those of the Institute of Archaeology, University of London (Miss Joan du Plat Taylor and Miss G. C. Talbot), the Department of Egyptology, University College, London (Miss K. E. Cynthia Cox), and the Society of Antiquaries of London (Mr John Hopkins). If any source has gone. nnacknowledged through ignorance or neglect the fault is entirely that of the Editor and Assistant Editor. They must be held responsible for such omissions. Finally I have written elsewhere in this volume that it has been our purpose throughout not only to interest but to excite. If this should indeed be the impact of The Dawn of Civilization on both scholar and layman then we shall feel that three years have not been spent in vain. Stuart Piggot. Introduction. The Myth of the 'Dark Ages'. David Talbot Rice. UNTIL NOT so LONG AGO it was sufficient for a student of the age in which we live to concern himself with a study of Europe, but the emergence of Russia, the development of Asia and, more recently, the assumption of independence by a mass of minor states in Mrica, have led to a widening of our horizons regarding the present, and a similar change has begun to assail our outlook towards the past. Thus the study of the early medieval phase of the culture of western Europe seemed until recently to be a comparatively simple and limited affair; it was enough for an Englishman to know something of the reigns of kings like Canute and Alfred, with perhaps a grounding in the warlike activities of Queen Boadicea against the Romans; for a Frenchman or a German some information about the wars of Charlemagne and his successors was enough, while an Italian could conveniently forget the whole age between the decline of imperial Roman power and the emergence of Florence in the 14th century. But now we are beginning to realize that a new, more comprehensive approach to our early history is necessary, and that today it is essential to pay very much more attention to certain aspects of man's life that were once wholly disregarded. Events in eastern Europe must thus be studied in addition to those in the west, while some consideration of the age of migrations and wanderings is just as necessary to a true understanding of later ages as an appreciation of the debt left by Rome. And further, it is essential to take into account the interaction of the various regions one upon another and of the influence that was exercised on the West by regions to the East, more especially Syria. ...
Lievegoed Bernard - The battle for the soul The working together of three great leaders of humanityurn:md5:12c9c1e1742b77764820d2ea6e1280192015-03-14T17:46:00+00:002015-03-15T15:26:20+00:00balderLievegoed BernardAfricaAmericaAnthroposophyAsiaAtlantideAtlantisEuropeGermanyMuProphecyThird Reich

Foreword. Bernard Lievegoed dictated this book in the months leading up to his death on December 12, 1992. The literal translation of the original Dutch title is Concerning the Salvation if the Human Soul. He saw this work as a spiritual legacy which gave a call to humanity and to tbe members of the Anthroposophical Society to prepare themselves for the turn of the century; for tbe decades to come. In a highly personal and direct way Lievegoed shares a profound inner question and in exploring it illuminates our present and our future. Bernard Lievegoed was born in Sumatra, Indonesia in 1905. Throughout his childhood he had a dream about a temple set on a hill which he was always seeking to reach but never did. When at the age of nineteen, in 1924, a family friend told his parents about the burning of the first Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland, he understood his dream and why he was never destined to reach this house of the spirit. He studied medicine in Holland, met Rudolf Steiner's work, and developed a friendship with both Willem Zeylmans van Emmichoven, the young head of the Dutch Anthroposophical Society, and Ita Wegman, Rudolf Steiner's collaborator and the founder of the clinic in Arlesheim. In the 1930s he began a remarkable career as a founder of initiatives, starting the Zonnehuis, a curative home for children; the Netherlands Pedagogical Institute (NPI) - an international organization development, research and consultancy group in the fifties; and the Vrije Hogeschool (Free High School) for young people in the seventies. In addition he practised as a child psychiatrist, later held a professorship in Social Pedagogy at the University in Rotterdam, and was for many years the chair of the Dutch Anthroposophical Society. This remarkably creative external life was balanced by intense inner creativity and led to a large · number of books. Bernard Lievegoed's deep interest in society, in our times, and in people led him to always ask his visitors what they were doing, thinking, and experiencing. If you then asked him for advice on whether to start something, expressing concern about your ability or readiness - he would gaze out of his deep-set eyes, smile slightly and tell you that you would probably never be ready but to go ahead anyway. This recognition of human frailty coupled with an unshakeable belief in the good power of the human spirit comes to clear expression in The Battle for the Human Soul. Introduction. "He (mankind) has given rise to many races, some of which differ so much from each other that they have often been ranked by naturalists as distinct species." Charles Darwin. That separate races exist as sub-species or varieties of the the human species and are the product of age-long evolution few would question to-day, but many may still doubt whether the discernible differences which characterize the races have any real significance or serve any purpose worth heeding in the story of humanity. In an attempt to resolve this doubt the author goes back to the beginning of time and from that remote point traces in loose outline the rise of organic life on earth up to the birth of those ape-like creatures from whom later under different conditions in different territories and at different times our racial ancestors emerged with their distinctive bodily and mental features. Accepting as valid the hypothesis of evolution by natural selection the author holds amongst other things that the inborn cerebral functions as displayed in mental attributes and potentialities are inseparably a part of the evolved biological condition of man, some necessarily being of a racial nature. ...
Kemp Arthur - March of the Titansurn:md5:17b92720158b41a3528c2b821f335e402014-07-06T22:20:00+01:002021-02-06T23:12:04+00:00balderKemp ArthurAfricaAmericaAsiaAustraliaAustriaBelgiumCanadaCeltesChinaChristianityCivilizationsCommunismEgyptEnglandEugenicsEuropeFirst World WarForbidden HistoryFranceGermanyGreeceHongrieIndiaIrelandItalyJewJewLuxemburgMexicoNapoléonNetherlandsNew ZealandPortugalRacesRacialismReligionRevolutionRhodesiaRomaniaRomeRussiaScotlandSecond World WarSlaverySouth AfricaSouth AmericaSpainSwitzerlandTarotThird Reich

Foreword. Foreword to the Pinnacle Edition (2011) This volume is, by far, the biggest and most complete version of March of the Titans yet published. It contains a large number of new sections, new pictures, and updated text. The sequential order of the chapters has remained the same, with one exception: the prologue now combines the basic explanation of race as a taxonomic concept and discusses the rise and fall of civilizations, as opposed to previous editions which saw it buried in chapter nine. Finally, I must thank my wife Jeannine from the bottom of my heart for all her work, encouragement, and effort. She is also my editor-in-chief and has worked tirelessly in this regard. I cannot think what I would have done without her. Arthur Kemp 15 November 2011, Chester, UK Foreword to the 1999 edition The idea for writing this book came from a perusal of the history section of the Jagger Library at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 1983. While undertaking some unrelated research, I chanced upon a book dealing with the history of the Chinese people. Intrigued, I investigated further in that section of the library. I found rows of books dealing with the history of the Japanese, the black race, the Incas, Aztecs, the Australian Aborigines, the Arabs, the Native Americans, the Polynesians—in fact there was a history of every people and every race on earth—except, much to my surprise, the white race. This lack of a history of the white people of the world has persisted to this day: and it is to correct this imbalance that this book has been written. As it is a history of a defined race, not of any particular country, its narrative follows several continents and centuries, not limiting itself to any one geographical region. I have always felt that the point of studying history is not the memorizing of some dates and facts, but rather the search for and discovery of the forces causing the results we see before our eyes as historical events. History lost its value through the efforts of academics producing lists of meaningless dates and names, expecting everyone else to be as interested in their lists as they are. The proper study of history is in reality a tremendously exciting field of endeavour—the exploits and tribulations detailed in this book will hopefully convince sceptics of this! More importantly, history does indeed contain lessons—sobering ones, with massive implications. As this book will show, it raises issues which confronted past civilizations and which confront modern society—how we answer them will determine if our society will survive or vanish like those of old. Preface to the first edition. The gulf which lies between the thinking of the ordinary world in reference to matters having to do with the destinies of the human soul, and the position occupied by those students of the school with which I am specially concerned, is widening, year by year. "Current teaching," as Mr. Balfour has called it, stands still; knowledge concerning the conditions of existence in ultraphysical realms of Nature has expanded enormously for those who have sought it the right way during the last fifteen years, and is expanding with ever-increasing rapidity. ...
Sinnett Alfred Percy - Esoteric buddhismurn:md5:16bbd47ff84dfc31b90d22ec2ae00c842014-04-17T17:49:00+01:002014-04-17T16:50:04+01:00balderSinnett Alfred PercyAsiaIndiaJewSatanismSouth Asia

Preface. The teachings embodied in the present volume let in a flood of light on questions connected with Buddhist doctrine which have deeply perplexed previous writers on that religion, and ofler the world for the first time a practical clue to the meaning of almost all ancient religious symbolism. More than this, the Esoteric Doctrine, when properly understood, will be found to advance an overpowering claim on the attention of earnest thinkers. Its tenets are not presented to us as the invention of any founder or prophet. Its testimony is based on no written scriptures. Its views of Nature have been evolved by the researches of an immense succession of investigators, qualified for their task by the possession of spiritual faculties and perceptions of a higher order than those belonging to ordinary humanity. ...
Bender Harold Herman - The home of the indo-europeansurn:md5:4030db9749fd5137298d78fdeafbdf252014-03-30T14:13:00+01:002014-03-30T14:13:00+01:00balderBender Harold HermanAsiaAssyrieEuropeGrèceHébraïsmeO.T.O.Races

Foreword. Far-reaching results have followed the discovery, a century or more ago, of the relationship of most of the languages of Europe with one another and with those of India and Persia. The study of these relationships developed into the independently influential science of comparative philology. It jshared with Darwinian evolution the responsibility for the vast expansion, both culturally and historically, of the 19th century horizon of human thought. It brought to the modern world new conceptions of the past and a new consciousness of nationalism and racial fraternities that was not without political importance in the recent war and in the readjustments that followed it. ...
Marshall Henrietta Elizabeth - Our empire storyurn:md5:890d1a16558daeaec2cb2102245e76152014-01-17T21:58:00+00:002014-01-17T22:00:29+00:00balderMarshall Henrietta ElizabethAsiaEnglandFührerIndiaIndiaTradition

'About this book. The Empire upon which the sun never sets.' We all know these words, and we say them with a somewhat proud and grand air, for that vast Empire is ours. It belongs to us, and we to it. ...
A Phoenix journal - 240urn:md5:e269a8b0341e2631b757089e61c592ee2013-12-28T19:46:00+00:002013-12-28T20:20:23+00:00balderA Phoenix journalConspiracyUnited States

CHAPTER 1. NEWS DESK SPECIAL REPORT. KORTON: JAMES BOND AND THE COLLAPSING OF A WORLD. 3/26/98 KORTON. Commander Tomeros Maasu Korton here in the Radiant Light of God-Aton. In a world where love and respect for your fellow beings is sorely lacking, we bring Truth in the hopes that it may provide you with the opportunity to look the usurpers of freedom squarely in the eyes and peacefully take back your world. A NATION DIVIDED When history looks back at the closing of your century, according to the method you “keep time”, it will mostly chronicle the fall of civilization, as you have known it, by the steady rise of racial strife culminating in the previously unrecorded slaughter of entire continents of people—an act that neither God nor Mother Earth will longer tolerate. Such an unthinkable (except to man) disruption in the natural order of God’s perfect universe will prompt the Hand of Nature to begin cleansing the Living Being that gave you this splendor called PHYSICAL Life. Earth-Shan has long suffered during man’s evolution through this experience. While his technology has created more efficient ways to snuff-out life, his thirst for blood has caused the highest resources available to him to be channeled in the direction of death. And when such unchecked aggression is focused on the very principle of the continuity of life itself, the very Laws of Creation become the tools of destruction— AND THAT, DEAR ONES, IS WHERE THE LINE IS DRAWN! MAN HAS NO NOTION OF THE EXTENT OF THE DARKNESS INFUSING THAT WHICH HE IS NOW ABOUT TO DO, NOR ITS CONSEQUENCES IN THE TAPESTRY OF SOULED EXISTENCE. Hence, all the attention your little orb is getting. When God’s people cry out, He hears the call and responds—but it will be through you that assistance will be rendered. ...
A Phoenix journal - 196urn:md5:ae1aa5c357cd80edbec97c52e32663f32013-12-28T15:45:00+00:002013-12-28T16:40:04+00:00balderA Phoenix journalConspiracyUnited States

FOREWORD. REC #1 HATONN WED., FEB. 5, 1997 7:39 A.M. YR.10, DAY 173. WED., FEB. 5, 1997 RESPONSIBILITY VERDICT OF O.J. SIMPSON. What happened? Does this “actually” make O.J. GUILTY? Why? How? Who says? Friends, O.J. Simpson was destined to be “GUILTY” from long before the murders happened. He was actually convicted at his first trial when he was found, in a criminal case, to be not-guilty. But you have to realize something: jurors in this case don’t have to live with, THEY THINK, blood on their hands—ONLY MONEY. And you know something:which is a sad fact indeed? People don’t want to go earn their own money; they want whatever others already have. What I wish all of you would look at are the facts of John Q. Citizen, for it is YOU who are being buried, thieved from, lied about and cheated in every way possible, without recourse, by the octopi gone mad. “But, is O.J. REALLY guilty?” you continue to petition of me. We have been over facts, produced several papers devoted to nothing else—and still you ask, so you must not have read or believed anything offered, in the first several instances. But I will remind of you of the most important fact of all: In THIS case, a voting jury has no way to know for sure and also in this case the jury only wanted money on their hearts and souls. Does this make O.J. guilty? Does it make him innocent? NEITHER, it is simply another ruling by 24 people, 12 of whom said he was not guilty; therefore, do these latest 12 make him guilty? He is either guilty or innocent of these terrible charges, but a split vote of unknowing people does not decide— only the penalty for being voted against, which happens to all of you every election. Simpson will have to find HIS WAY WITH GOD! He was never to be found truthfully judged when the Fred Goldmans of the world entered the picture and the opposition campaigned for guilt from upstart of circumstances, UNTIL THE VERDICT WAS FINALIZED. And, just like an election, the innocent pay for the indiscretions and costs of the unbalanced campaigning and fixed results. ...
A Phoenix journal - 122urn:md5:dc4ec95a15b778f1a449b3aac8819eac2013-12-25T16:42:00+00:002013-12-25T17:09:50+00:00balderA Phoenix journalConspiracyUnited States

INTRODUCTION. REC #1 HATONN WED., FEB. 1, 1995 7:23 A.M. YEAR 8, DAY 169 WED., FEB. 1, 1995 A FEW COMMENTS ON THE DAY You are entering February and before the Christmas things are settled—you move into the time of paper hearts and decisions—always decisions. All decisions must be made in great wisdom for your enemy depends upon you making decisions which favor him. I ask only that you make decisions in wisdom in clarity of recognition of your relationship with God and the “right” choices WILL be made. I have one inquiry here from Colorado which needs response. It doesn’t matter what we “need” here, Son, what does matter is that when we can function in funding—we need “everything”. Until then each has to fully attend self and that means, because of the heavy load—an outside job is mandatory and there are not many of those in Tehachapi. And I realize that it has been thus for lo these 7 years. I must also remind ones who move to do so with caution to the transfer—sometimes you are far better to stay put in consideration of what is coming down around you. I foresee that the greatest and most urgent “need” here is for help with the paper, but our team has to make it a little further for now. In the meanwhile, if you ones will just keep up your writings and mailings it will be the greatest help you can offer. I can’t even get all the information of urgent problems out to you. We have an Indian Brother in Texas, in prison, on a “hunger strike” and is now unable to get out of bed—we are told. Well, we don’t know what to do for this man. We are not told as to WHY the man is incarcerated but I believe him to be on death-row. The complaint is not one of “innocence” but rather that he is not allowed to practice his “religion”. I note that THAT must mean—to practice his rituals. God and Man need no connection save self with “mind” pointed in the right direction. ...
A Phoenix journal - 046urn:md5:107b96981d9f783f690fb23bf593389d2013-12-24T20:32:00+00:002014-01-25T01:10:26+00:00balderA Phoenix journalConspiracyUnited States

Preface : What's Special About Pro-Israel PACs? "An examination of pro-Israel PACs provides a classic study of the PAC problem in our political system - the proliferation of PACs , the increase of PAC dollars , the concentration of interest group money in key congressional committees, and the single-minded focus of PAC giving. "President Fred Wertheimer of Common Cause. "Most lobbies, no matter how good they are, fade into insignificance beside the most ffictive-andvicious-ofthemall. Israel's lobby in Washington, lotov,n simply as "the Israel lobby," or, "the Lobby," has refined to a high art form the techniques of putting pressure on members of Congress and on the administration." Former Senator James G. Abourezk, Advise and Dissent : Memoirs of South Dakota and the U. S. Senate, Lawrence Hill Books, 1989. Virtually every special interest lobbying organization in the United States has created a Political Action Committee. The five largest such PACs in the United States are the National Association of Realtors PAC , which spent $3 million in the 1988 election cycle, and PACs established by the Teamsters Union, the American Medical Association, the National Education Association and the National Association of Federal Employees, each of which spent more than $2 million on candidates in 198g. Federal law limits a PAC contribution to no more than $5,000 to a candidate in the primary election, and another $5,000 to a candidate in the general election. Therefore no PAC, eventhe giants named above, can donatemorethan $10,000 ina single election year to reward an incumbent for voting according to the sponsoring lobby' s recommendations, or to finance a challenger to a member of Congress who votes against that lobby's recommendations. What would happen, however, if there were between 50 and 1 00 like-minded PACs, and if most of them followed recommendations of one special interest group, like Washington's pro-Israel lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (ATPAC) ? ...
Gillett Ezra Hall - Ancient cities and empiresurn:md5:80fc6f360b1b26f05518035e836574272013-11-13T13:12:00+00:002014-03-06T01:22:42+00:00balderGillett Ezra HallAsiaAssyriaBabylonEgyptJerusalemKabbalah

Preface. The object of this work is to present those prophecies of the Bible upon the fulfillment of which new light has been thrown by modern research. A mere glance at the treatises of Bishop Newton and Rev. Alexander Keith, which have long been known as the most popular works on Prophecy, will show how much they have fallen behind the times. The last quarter of a century has made large contributions to the elucidation of many of the subjects which they discussed ; and the questions which, during this same period, have been raised in reference to the divine origin and authority of the Scriptvires, demand that the fulfillments of prophecy, which have a most important bearing upon their solution, should be carefully ind candidly considered. ...
The liberty bell - 1983urn:md5:22133fcb1218245fbc9c4589e4e22cea2013-09-15T00:44:00+01:002013-09-15T01:44:37+01:00balderThe liberty bellAsiaChinaConspiracyEconomyFirst World WarGermanyJewRevisionismUnited States

It is well if at the outset I make clear that these pages are not written from a proSemite or anti-Semite point of view. Many books have been published about the Jews; but the majority are marred by over-enthusiasm or violence of opinion, and lack the judicial spirit which is necessary in contemplating a phenomenon which is also a problem. ...
